Weight Loss for Teenage Girls ? The Safe and Effective Way
If you are a teenage girl and is constantly worried about your weight problem. Then you probably have not found an effective program that will bring about weight loss for teenage girls. But read on, this article will present some simple yet effective and safe ways you can implement to burn away fat and lose weight.
First and foremost, if you are looking for a quick fix, then you will be sorely disappointment. Because any kind of program that will effectively lead to weight loss for teenage girls requires your commitment and perseverance. You need keep the big picture of the goal in your mind and go through the program. These are methods which I used, and have proven effective for me.
The most basic and important step is having healthy meals. Many teenage girls resort to starving themselves in order to lose weight. However, this not only doesn’t help, it may actually lead to an increase in weight because as your body adjust to a drastic reduction in calorie intake, it is deprive of energy. So, it burns muscle for your energy requirement instead of fat. Now, since muscle burns up more calorie than fat, you metabolism decreases and your diet program just falls to pieces. Remember to eat healthy full meals – less sugar, less salt, less fat, more fruits and vegetables. It’s that simple.
The next step is to exercise. Before you start moaning and groaning about exercising, let me assure you that it doesn’t need to be the strenuous types. Of course, if you can participate in some very active sports or lift weights, all the more better for you. But again, it is not necessary. Try taking a long walk around the park. Progressively increase your walking distance or duration as your fitness improves. This not only builds your fitness and tones your muscles, but you also burn energy and fat. Find a partner or partners to come along, this will keep you motivated and make it fun.
Finally, replace the words “fat” and “overweight” with the word “slim” in thinking about your goal. In other words, always say to yourself, “My goal is to become SLIM.” And NOT, “My goal is to lose weight or fat.” You may laugh, but you are actually telling your subconscious mind to activate certain processes within your body to increase your metabolic rate.
So, there you have it. The most simple, effective and safest ways which will lead to weight loss for teenage girls that you can start implementing today. Stop wasting your time procrastinating, because the best time to “slim down” is now.

The Teenage Diet Plan is a Hard Beast To Tame
When dealing with the teenage diet plan it’s a tricky subject to really get a firm grasp on because of the very nature of teenager’s themselves. Their lives are consistently on the run, there are social pressures to deal with, uncomfortable hormone fluctuations and those are all things that are going through their heads prior to them getting to get up, let alone hit the breakfast table. Developing a teenage diet plan that is healthy and productive is a very complicated task indeed.
Generally any teenage diet plan ought to be a balanced diet of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and low fat meats. The consumption of salty foods and snack should be avoided, and sugary foods should be ruled out completely if possible. This has been getting more attention lately as some states have tried to outlaw these kinds of snacks from high school vending machines.
Preferably many dietitians agree that everyone, not only teen’s ought to eat between 3-5 meals spaced through the day. Typically complex carbohydrates like oatmeal are a good foundation for breakfast, but it’s important to make certain that your entire meals have a respectable balance out of all the major food groups in them. Some people feel that restricting your carbohydrate intake in the evening hours can sort out both fat storage and nighttime restlessness, and so long as the principle is applied with some degree of moderation, this can be a sound idea for many teenager’s to embrace as well.
What is really important is for teens to make sure that they are eating foods like french fries and fast food hamburgers in moderation. Food like that should constitute only a very small part of a teenager’s diet – or anyone’s diet for example. Potato Chips, French Fries, and Donuts all are dealing with that problem. If you find yourself indulging in these things lots of times a week some major changes should be made to your diet.
Water is never something that needs to be forgotten about but it always is apparently about the very last thing on anyone’s mind. The reason behind that is really very simple – it’s everywhere and the standard form or hydration. Keeping your body hydrated should be a focus of a healthy, balanced and natural diet for teenagers and any person looking to improve their lives through improving their dietary practices.
It’s pretty obvious that teenager’s have a lot of stress in their every day lives. It’s that stress that can make adhering to any teenage diet plan a difficult task. That’s why your goal is always to achieve a good balanced diet for yourself. Should you be looking for a teenage diet plan in losing weight you have to know that most medical professionals do not agree with teenagers dieting for that type of reason unless they are seriously overweight.
As Always, seek medical advice before starting any new diet program. More information on diets can be found at: Teenage Diet Plan and Fast Teen Weight Loss

I have several recipes that are good for you and delicious. They all make enough for roughly 4 people so you can make dinner for your family or put the leftovers in the fridge or freezer. To make a meal healthy I cut back on the fat, and add lots of veggies. You can pretty much use whatever veggies you like, fresh or frozen.
Chicken and Veggie Rice – Incredibly easy and inexpensive.
2 skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 pkg Rice a Roni Pilaf flavor
½ cp carrots, sliced
1 cp broccoli, chopped
½ cp frozen peas
OR
2 cps frozen mixed veggies
Trim chicken of all fat and cut into chunks. Coat a frying pan with cooking spray and brown the chicken for 20 min, turning as needed. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add the water called for on the Rice a Roni package to the frying pan along with the seasoning packet. Stir to mix it in well. When it comes to a boil, add the rice & fresh veggies and simmer as called for on the Rice a Roni package. After 10 min, add whatever frozen veggies you are using at this time. Cover and simmer till the rice is done.
Cover and simmer until the rice is done. About 10-15 min.
Stuffed Shells – One of Tim’s favorites! I’ve served this to groups of men who swore they must have meat in everything and they wolfed it down and asked for seconds.
1 Tbls olive oil
½ med onion
1 zucchini, chopped
2 cp mushrooms, sliced
1 can diced Italian tomatoes
1 bottle Three Cheese Prego spaghetti sauce
3 cps shredded mozzerella cheese – divided
1 16 oz container cottage cheese
½ tsp each parsley, basil, oregano
15-18 large shell pasta
Get a large pan of water on to boil. As soon as the water starts boiling add the pasta shells (add a couple extra to allow for breakage) and cover. While they’re cooking prepare the sauce.
In a large skillet heat the olive oil, add the onion and fry 3-5 min. Stir in the spaghetti sauce. Add the tomatoes, juice and all. Stir in the zucchini and mushrooms, cover and simmer while you prepare the pasta for 15 min or so.
Mix the cottage cheese and half of the mozzerella cheese in a bowl. Add the herbs and stir till blended. When the pasta is done, drain it and run cold water over it to cool them off enough to hold them in your hand because you need to fill each one with the cheese blend and set it in a 9×12 baking dish.
Pour the tomato/veggie sauce over the pasta in the baking dish, make sure each pasta shell is covered in sauce. Sprinkle with the rest of the mozzerella. Bake 15-20 min or until bubbly and heated through.
Cheesy Rice Quesadillas – These are sooooo good. I assemble them a little differently because I like to use corn tortillas but if you prefer flour tortillas you should fold them in half like normal. Corn tortillas are better for you than flour.
1 pkg Rice a Roni Spanish Rice
1 can diced tomatoes w/ chilies
1 can corn, drained
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cp chunky salsa
1 pkg corn tortillas
Cheddar cheese
Sour Cream
Salsa
Prepare the Rice a Roni per instructions on the box in a skillet – for the water use the tomato juice drained off the tomatoes, add enough water to it to equal what the box calls for.
When it’s done stir in the tomatoes. Put the beans in a strainer so you can rinse them with water. Add them to the rice along with the corn and 1 cp of salsa, cover and simmer just till it’s all heated thru.
Heat a lrg skillet over med/high-heat. Lower heat to med. Spray with cooking spray, lay a tortilla in the pan and cover with the rice mixture to about 1/2″ thickness. Sprinkle with cheese, lay another tortilla over top and cook till the top tortilla begins to curl at the edges. Flip it carefully with a pancake turner. Cook that side 1-2 min. Flip onto a plate and cut into quarters with a pizza cutter. Top with sour cream and salsa, serve.

Question by obsession♥: What is a healthy weight for a teenage girl who is 5’6-5’7?

Answer by because
The best answer is going to be frustrating, because there is nothing clear cut about it. People have different physical makeup (ie different muscle mass, bone mass, growth spurts). There is also going to be a different answer for someone that is say 13 compared to someone that is 18 years old.
If you are likely to be done growing then it would be easier to say what your weight range should be…if this is the case:
You have to consider your frame (petite, medium, or large). But, an average healthy weight for small to medium would be to stay between 123lbs and 147lbs.
If you have any questions about measuring body frame check this out, “Body frame size is determined by a person’s wrist circumference in relation to his height. For example, a man whose height is over 5′ 5″ and wrist is 6″ would fall into the small-boned category.Determining frame size: To determine the body frame size, measure the wrist with a tape measure and use the following chart to determine whether the person is small, medium, or large boned.Women:Height under 5’2″ Small = wrist size less than 5.5″Medium = wrist size 5.5″ to 5.75″Large = wrist size over 5.75″Height 5’2″ to 5′ 5″ Small = wrist size less than 6″Medium = wrist size 6″ to 6.25″Large = wrist size over 6.25″Height over 5′ 5″ Small = wrist size less than 6.25″Medium = wrist size 6.25″ to 6.5″Large = wrist size over 6.5″Men:Height over 5′ 5″ Small = wrist size 5.5″ to 6.5″Medium = wrist size 6.5″ to 7.5″Large = wrist size over 7.5″. Ok, just wondering, some people say its 35 grams but how is that possible if they recommend you to eat healthy things like milk, fruit and veggies when they contain alot of sugar. like b/c they say to drink 3 cups of skim milk a day for better health when each serving of milk has 12 grams of sugar which is already alot of sugar, i’m trying to be a healthy teen buy eating veggies and fruits and whole grains as on the health pyramid but my sugar intake seems to be high, so i’m just asking cause i do not want to have diabetes. any advice?

Answer by epic_laydown
I have no clue really but I’d say that the average teen drinks 4 sodas which is about 30 g of sugar each. remember some have lots more, some have less. So that’s an average of 120 g. And that doesn’t include sugary foods. So let’s guesstimate 50 g of sugar in food. That’s 170g of sugar on average. quite a bit.
